1930's Perfumette
This white gold-filled mixed link chain has never been worn and is in near-flawless condition.
Originally designed to clip to the straps of your slip and between your boobies, this forgotten late 1920's/early 30's perfume accessory features a white gold-filled chain and three alligator clips; two are engraved with decorative detailing and are fish-shaped. The middle alligator clip is affixed to a mini vinaigrette* pendant. Spray or drop your favorite perfume onto the vinaigrette's porous interior, and it will grip onto that scent for up to several days. Wear it as originally intended to give your tatas an extra wisp of 'what's that smell?!' or wear it as a fashionable accessory, like a kinda/sorta necklace; clip it to your collar, or use it as a sweater clip.
*A vinaigrette was a common way to carry fragrance before the mid-20th century. Typically made of metal with a decorative pierced or engraved exterior, it held a small piece of sponge, cotton, pumice, or another absorbent material saturated with perfume, essential oils, or other fragrant liquids.
Worn as a pendant or carried in a pocket, a vinaigrette kept scent close at hand while keeping unpleasant odors at bay.
You know in historical movies or shows when old-timey aristocrats would dramatically lift a little scented ornament hanging from their neck or belt whenever they were forced to engage with (ew) smelly commoners? Yeah, that’s a vinaigrette.
